Wantsum?

Did you know that the Isle of Thanet was once a true island, separated from the mainland by the Wantsum Channel?

While it is often still referred to by the locals as an "isle," Thanet is technically no longer an island due to geological and land reclamation changes over the centuries. The three main towns of the area, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate each have a wealth of interesting architecture & history not to mention amazing sandy beaches.

My art print celebrates this area with a bold fish representing the coast, set in a patterned border with the words Ramsgate, Isle of Thanet proudly written across it. Red and blue are the dominant colours of the fish which sits on a golden sand background.
